Client Case Study
A full website build for Rexanna's Foundation for Fighting Lung Cancer — designed to honor a legacy, fund research at MD Anderson Cancer Center, and give patients and families a place to find hope.
Rexanna's Foundation for Fighting Lung Cancer was founded in honor of Rexanna Hawkins — a woman of fierce spirit, boundless love, and an unshakeable belief in giving back. The foundation funds novel lung cancer research and supports patients through every stage of their journey.
Madre Luna Designs built the foundation's full website on WordPress and Elementor — a custom teal-and-gold visual system, donation flow, research and grants pages, event announcements, and a complete site architecture built to grow with the foundation's work.
The Foundation's Impact
What We Built
Every page was designed around one question: does this help a grieving family, a hopeful patient, or a longtime donor take their next step with confidence?
Rexanna's legacy, the mission, and the foundation's impact are introduced in the first few seconds — before ever asking for a donation.
Direct funding figures, grant history, and the foundation's partnership with MD Anderson are presented clearly, with real numbers donors can trust.
A secure, integrated donation flow sits one click away from every page — never buried, never hard to find.
Programs, events, and named grants each have their own dedicated pages — easy for foundation staff to manage and expand over time.
"Madre Luna gave Rexanna's story a home online that finally feels like her — warm, hopeful, and built to keep fighting."
A teal foundation paired with a warm gold accent — clinical-clean where it needs credibility, and warm where it needs heart.
Cormorant Garamond for headlines, paired with Jost for clean, legible body copy throughout the site.
